La Sagrada Familia

This is the tourist attraction’s more visit and famous Barcelona, this tour is free but to visit inside and experience the great unfinished work of Gaudi need to buy a ticket, so please book your tickets in advance since if you buy the tickets in the same location,  probably have to make queue of an hour or more.

History:

The Magic Fountains of Montjuic

Picasso Museum Barcelona

 One of the most famous painters in the world Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga but lived in Barcelona from 1895 to 1904, and was in Barcelona where he spent his formative years as an artist, Picasso Museum is located in the Borne district and is one of the most famous museums in the city.

The Picasso Museum does not have the most important works of the painter, but the Barcelona collection is unique because it has the first sketches that painter perform and showing their artistic development.

Las Ramblas

La Rambla is another places that you must see in your tour in Barcelona, Las Ramblas start at Plaza Catalunya and end at the Columbus monument at Port Vell in Barcelona.

It is said that if you do not visit the Ramblas you have not been to Barcelona, Las Ramblas is a long avenue where you can find souvenir shops, enjoy street performers, small shops to buy flowers and animals and visit the famous Boqueria market.

Las Ramblas is a safe place but be especially careful of pickpockets in this area, as it is an area where there are many people and that makes it especially attractive for pickpockets.

Always keep your bag and if caught carrying backpack try to take it in the front.

Gothic Quarter of Barcelona 

Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter is the medieval part of the city of Barcelona, I grew up around the old Barcino that was what it was called Barcelona in Roman times.

Inside the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona has beautiful churches, squares, markets and museums to visit, if you care about the museums we recommend you visit the museum d’Història ciutat, inside this museum you can discover part of the old Barcino where there are remains of Roman Barcelona, you may be interested in visiting the Born where you will find the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar near the Picasso museum.

Park Güell 

Park Guell by Antonio Gaudí is one of the world heritage sites declared by UNESCO and is considered one of the most famous landmarks in the city of Barcelona, the park is located on a hill in the district of Carmel, we recommend using a taxi or a tour to get to the park as there is a fairly steep climb.

A little history:

The original idea of Gaudí to build the park was to create a garden city that consist of an exclusive residential complex with 60 houses, finally this idea did not work and in 1923 the park was donated to the city of Barcelona as a public place.

Modernist buildings

Modernism was a Catalan cultural movement centered in Barcelona and Catalonia from 1888 to 1911. One of the most famous architects of Catalan modernism was Antonio Gaudí.

The city of Barcelona has a variety of modernist buildings, but the most important modernist buildings are in the apple of discord in the Paseo de Gracia, these are “The Amatller House” designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, “La Casa Batlló “from Antoni Gaudí and the” Casa Lleó Morera. “A little further up the Paseo de Gracia street on the opposite site is one of the most famous buildings of Gaudi in Barcelona called “Casa Mila” – and nicknamed “La Pedrera” (the quarry).
