As with all our excursions your driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel. Cruise port or airport, and we start our journey to the medieval Catalonia where you will learn the historical past of Jewish community in our old middle age, our first stop is the city of Girona, considered one of the oldest medieval cities in Europe, within this beautiful city you will visit the old Jewish quarter, walk through its narrow streets and visit the impressive Roman cathedral and many other landmarks of the city, of course you have free time if you want to do some shopping for crafts and souvenirs of the city .
We continue our excursion towards the pretty village of Besalu where there is the unique medieval Jewish baths (mikhva) found in Spain at the moment, and where you can learn much more of its former Jewish heritage, Besalu is one of those towns which will transport you to the days of knights, counts, maidens and troubadours, impressive ancient bridge leads to the walled city not to be missed, within the village can visit its many shops medieval crafts and enjoy a fantastic lunch of typical products of the earth.

Monday: the Museum of History of the Jewish of Girona is closed

Sunday: the interior of the Cathedral of Girona is not available for visits as there is mass going on (you can visit the Cloister and the Treasure Museum, though.

In May, Girona celebrates the “Time of Flowers” festival. A great time to visit it and see the usual sites covered in flower decorations.
